Is VW India's first launch of the year.
The VW Jetta facelift was caught testing in India again, the pictures of which have been published by CarToq. The facelifted model was showcased at last year's New York Motor Show, and as in its previous outing, the undisguised exterior gives away the updates expected on the new version.
Up front, it gets a redesigned grille and bumper, and the foglamps are now rectangular (as opposed to the current version's circular units). The side profile remains unchanged, but for the new 10-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, restyled taillamps and bumper sum up the changes.
Updates for the interior will include the provision of ambient lighting and new fabric pattern for the seats, continues the report. There will be a new 3-spoke, Polo-like multifunction steering wheel, piano black treatment for the centre console, and use of chrome around the instrument cluster, and a touchscreen infotainment system.

The engine options are likely to remain unchanged from the current line up, which includes a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and a 2-litre TDI diesel unit, while the final power and torque outputs might see a revision. The 6-speed manual and automatic (DSG) transmission units are expected to continue unchanged as well.
