Posted on: Dec 19, 2014 - 5:00pm IST

Would carry over its engine from the Gixxer.

fully-faired version of the Suzuki Gixxer was caught testing recently. The motorcycle spotted shared many elements such as the fuel tank, tailpiece, exhaust, wheels and brakes with the Suzuki Gixxer while housing a shield-shaped headlamp that has recently become a signature of the Suzuki sport bikes range.

Suzuki GSX-R 150 rendering
Faired Gixxer could be dubbed GSX-R 150.

Now our colleagues over at Motoblast who couldn’t wait any longer have created an almost realistic rendering for the upcoming bike, supposed to be dubbed the Suzuki GSX-R 150. The full-fairing makes the bike look very similar to its larger cousins, the Suzuki GSX-R 750 and the GSX-R 1000 while internally it would be powered by the same 154.9 cc engine that powers the Gixxer.

The Suzuki GSX-R 150 would be priced higher than the Gixxer, roughly around the INR 90,000 price range and would compete with other fully-faired motorcycles such as the Honda CBR150R and the semi-faired Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0. The specifications of the engine would be retained at 14.8 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque while the 5-speed gearbox would also remain the same.

1-fuel tank is more aerodynamic than fz,

    2-seat is totally different

3-gear indicator ,which any yamaha bike doesnt have

4-engine looks is different and gives 50-55 sometimes 60 kmpl mileage, and in other hand fz gives less than 45 kmpl,

5-rear tyre is more curve than fz bike,

6 rear suspension looks different and 7 step adjustable,

    7-full flexible indicators,

    why SUZUKI copying other bikes

suzuki’s exisisting 100- 200cc bikes in india is fully bad & copying others good bikes like pulsar,fz, Gixxer
not feel gud looking…… change its shape…. improve suzuki’s standard, i feel gixxer 150r is a toy bike. if u want to capture market you must change your exisisting bikes model except access(scooters), dont copying others bikes gixxer = FZ, Gs150r = Pulsar 150, what is it?……………. improve your design…. if u can’t u make change u r models, introduce hayabusa 150,250,500 in india….then may be stand in competition…

suzuki’s all models in india (100 -250cc) are poor & cheap design bikes, lower power, low servicing center, low marketing facility, unavailability of getting spares etc…. Suzuki must be follow KTM india…..

ktm came in india before 2 yrs, but nw the major bikes shares in the hands of KTM Duke….. how many years you are standing in india.. you have how many bikes shares in india? i think may be 4-6%. WHY, WHY,WHY?
youth not follow suzuki, follows only Honda, ktm, bajaj, kawasaki, hoyusung. RE hd etc… WHY?

Main reason is you are not introducing youth desired bikes…. suzuki still introducing bikes for Middle aged mans.. remember one thing….your previous consumers are follow scooter. so introducing 100-125 cc bikes are fully waste,,, you must be study market & demand changes of people… you want to stand in india follow youth….

Lack of knowledge. U are having.
Gs150r is the only bike in india with over drive gearing mechanism 6th gear. Producing maximum torque as well as fuel efficiency. Ride to believe.
While gixxer is specially designed to compete with CBR and r15. Has built up torque more than both and fz can’t touch it anywhere

      Suzuki copy other brand?
THE OTHER BRAND keep copying them.. thats why now Suzuki always released their bike after all other brand announced their bike… this is to prevent other manufactured to copy their design
