To get a refreshed front fascia.
The Perodua Myvi is reportedly heading for a midlife facelift. The news actually comes from Indonesia where a rebadged version of the Myvi is being sold under the Daihatsu Sirion nameplate.
An Indonesian media report suggests that the Sirion will be facelifted next year and given the fact that the Daihatsu hatchback is exported to the country from Perodua's Malaysian factory, it's safe to assume that the Myvi will receive the upgrade before the Sirion.
Here is a rendering of the Myvi facelift created by Theophilus Chin. The hatchback could receive redesigned headlamps with a hexagonal grille, bringing the front fascia inline with the recently launched Perodua Axia A-segment hatchback.
It's to be noted that the Myvi's XT, SE and Xtreme variants have certain level of visual differences. The facelifted car is also expected to carry forward these differences. The interior would be updated to go along with the refreshed exterior.
The Myvi is powered by a 1.3-litre petrol motor which is good for 89.84 bhp and 117 Nm of torque. The transmission options include a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT.
