To go on sale by April 2015.
The sporty 2015 Hyundai i20 Coupe 3-door variant for the European market has been unveiled. Apart from losing a pair of doors, the B-segment hatchback also features a few styling enhancements to differentiate itself better from the mainstream 5-door hatchback (called the Hyundai Elite i20 in India).
Aft the B-pillar, the roofline swoops to merge with the thick tapering C-pillar, giving the car a dynamic stance. The headlamps get LED DRL underlinings, the hexagonal airdam has been tweaked and the new bumper houses larger foglamps and a chin air splitter.
The rear can be identified by an aggressive bumper with prominent red reflectors. Other sporty elements include special 17-inch alloy wheels and Tangerine Orange exterior color options with matching interior bits.
The interior design remains intact and despite the roof being lower than the regular hatchback by 25 mm, Hyundai claims that the rear seat room has not been compromised. In fact, the Coupe offers 10 litre more luggage space than the 5-door variant at 336 litres.

The powertain lineup has been borrowed from its sibling. Customers get to choose from two petrol engines displacing 1.25- and 1.4-litre and two diesel engines displacing 1.1- and 1.4-litre. Save for the base 1.25 petrol which comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, rest of the engines are available with a 6-speed manual unit. The 1.4-litre petrol is also offered with an optional 4-speed AT.
The i20 Coupe is unlikely to be launched in India since there is no demand for a 3-door hatchback.
