Gets a new 1.6L diesel engine.
After showcasing a pre-production model at the Paris Motor Show this year, Honda has launched the 2015 CR-V facelift in Europe with design and mechanical changes.
Notably, the front fascia now gets redesigned headlights that flow into a new grille, and new integrated LED daytime running lights. A new front bumper, skid guard and LED taillights round off the changes to the outside.
Inside, the refreshed CR-V's dashboard gets new chrome inlays, and a sliding armrest has been provided between the front seats. A new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system fitted with Honda Connect - the company's app-driven infotainment system - is now standard across all variants.
The 4WD variant of the 2015 CR-V is powered by a new 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine, with power and torque outputs of 160 PS (157.74 bhp) and 350 Nm. This engine's predecessor, again a 1.6-liter unit, continues to be offered on the 2WD variant and develops 120 PS (118.3 bhp).
The new 1.6-liter diesel can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission or a new 9-speed automatic transmission. The 9-speed unit replaces the 5-speed unit, and comes with a 20 percent reduction in CO2 emissions. The 2WD variants of the CR-V continue to be available with a 1.6-liter diesel and a 2.0-liter petrol.
