Thailand Live – Toyota Hilux Vigo TRD Sportivo Edition

The Toyota Hilux Vigo TRD Sportivo Edition has been displayed at the Thailand Motor Expo 2014. The TRD Edition brings on styling upgrades to the exterior and interior of the Hilux Vigo. Starting at the front, the bumper gets a larger, wider grill while having black insets for the fog lamps. The bumper also sports DRL LED lights.

The vehicle is given a TRD ‘Sports bar’ on the cargo area, new rear skirt and bumper, 17-inch TRD Sportivo alloy wheels, and TRD Sportivo stickers.

In the interior, the vehicle is distinguished with door panels decorated with Carbon Kevlar synthetic leather with a sporty red stitching, new Carbon Kevlar audio panel with DVD/MP3/WMA capability, and a 6.1-inch touch screen with the USB/AUX support. The audio system also features Bluetooth telephony.

A multifunction leather steering wheel with a red stitching, and leather wrapped gear knob with red stitching, round up the cabin novelties.

The Sportivo Edition features a 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine, which is capable of producing 142 bhp of power and 343 Nm of torque between 1,600 rpm to 2,800 rpm transferred to the road via a 5-speed auto transmission. The Hilux features the “diamond tech” technology for its common rail diesels that features an upgraded 32-bit ECU and injector system to deliver better economy.
