The senior executive further went on to say that the upcoming flagship sedan will have a sightly longer wheelbase compared to the 2015 VW Passat while being shorter than 5 metre. For reference, the Passat B8 which had its public premiere at the 2014 Paris Motor is underpinned by the MQB platform and has a length and wheelbase of 4,767 mm and 2,791 mm respectively.

Dr. Welsch has stated that the all of Skoda's future products would focus on offering best-in-class interior space and boot volume. To quote the official, "roominess at a reasonable price" will be the Czech automaker's mantra. He also hinted that a longer model specific to the Chinese market could also be on the cards. We remind you that the Yeti sold in China has a 60 mm longer wheelbase and an external spare wheel.
