The YRA looks slightly larger than the Maruti Swift.
Seen here is the first revealing image of the upcoming Maruti YRA premium hatchback which is currently undergoing testing in Europe and India. Set to be Maruti's most expensive hatchback till date, the YRA is due for an Indian launch (and a European launch) next year.
Upon closer inspection, the car here is identified as a left-hand drive model indicating that this prototype could have been built abroad. The front fascia gets a Swift-like design for the headlight cluster and a honeycomb grille with a thin chrome strip running along the width of it. The bumper has a wide airdam accompanied by foglight enclosures and LED daytime running lights.
The wing mirrors of the YRA are mounted on the doors rather than the pillars for a more premium appearance. Designers, who have given the YRA a sober look, have also put in place a quarter glass section for the front (a small front quarter glass window is seen on the passenger side).

Overall, the YRA, based on this image, looks like a slightly larger version of Maruti's best-selling Swift. A slightly larger and more premium Swift, could be what Maruti is gunning for as it aims to position the YRA at the price point of the Elite i20, VW Polo (currently the most expensive in its segment) and the upcoming Honda Jazz.
