A CVT gearbox would be offered in addition to a manual.
A report on AllAfrica states that the Honda Mobilio MPV will launch in Kenya in the early part of next year. The Mobilio for Kenya would be exported by Honda Cars India considering that the Mobilio for South Africa goes from India.
Like the South African model, the Mobilio in Kenya would be offered with the 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine which puts out 119 PS (117.32 bhp) and 145 Nm of torque. It would be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT, driving the front wheels.
With the manual transmission, the Mobilio does 0-100 km/h in 10.8 seconds and achieves a fuel efficiency of 16.39 km/l, and with the CVT, 0-100 km/h takes a slower 11.3 seconds, but the efficiency is higher at 16.66 km/l.
All variants of the South African model (there are three variants) come equipped with features like ABS, EBD and dual front airbags. Compared to the Indian model which gets a dual-tone beige interior, the South African model gets an all-black theme.
