The all-new 2015 Chevrolet Cruze which made its global debut in China earlier this year has graced the Guangzhou Auto Show 2014.

The Cruze for the domestic market is manufactured by the Shanghai-GM JV. The design cues of the latest iteration of GM’s global best selling model comes from the Chevrolet Tru concept that was unveiled at Beijing in 2012.

The two-part grille of the outgoing sedan has been replaced with a slot of an element and a hexagonal secondary airdam. The stylish narrow wraparound headlamps round off the front end design.

In profile, the new Cruze is characterized by a steeply raked A-pillar, an arching roofline and a stubby rear overhang. The sharply contoured rear fascia sports angular taillights, a chrome embellishment and a black plastic rear diffuser.

The China-spec car is available with two four-cylinder petrol engine options. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit puts out an adequate 112 PS (110.42 bhp) while the range-topping 1.4-litre turbocharged motor generates 148 PS (145.9 bhp).

The base engine is offered with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission while the turbo petrol comes paired either to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.

Sorry but those interior shots are from a Malibu, easily can see in the rear of car shot the dash is completely different than that(also based on all previous images of the new cruze interior).

    1. Dear Danny, yes you are right, we’ve had a mismatch, so we’ve taken down the interior images. We are checking with our photographer on this, thanks again for pointing this out.

Looking awesome from both in and out. The turbo 1.4 looks promising. Chevy has to get that along with their current cruising 2.0 diesel. Chevrolet India has to place it just above Verna and below all other rivals (Jetta, Elantra, Corolla, Fluence, Octavia). Thereby they can pull customers from Verna, City, Ciaz etc. as well as D-segment sedans. Problem with Chevrolet is they don’t price the car properly in the first place, then they start giving discounts. It will be too late by then as the value will be compromised.

      1. Hello Ashish, thanks for bringing this to our notice, there clearly has been a mismatch in the images, we’ve removed the interior shots, it is not of the new Cruze.
