The Yamaha YZF-R15 V2.0 was launched in India way back in 2011 but Sri Lanka will get the compact sportsbike only this year. Compared to the previous iteration, the R15 V2.0 has styling changes such as split seats with a restyled tail section, and meatier tyres. The design of the baby YZF-R model is in-line with that of the bigger YZF-R6 and YZF-R1 models.

Under the skin, the bike gets a 'banana' swing arm like the bigger YZF-R6 in addition to a tweaked fame and an ECU for better performance. The 149.8 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor churns out 17 PS (16.76 bhp) and 15 Nm of torque. The rev-happy fuel-injected engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The R15 V2.0 is 1,970 mm long, 670 mm wide and 1,070 mm tall, with a wheelbase and seat height of 1,345 mm and 800 mm respectively. At just 136 kg, the R15 V2.0 makes for a sprightly motorcycle.

The bike is suspended by telescopic forks upfront and a linked monocross shock absorber at the rear. The front tyre measures 90/80-17 while the rear tyre is of 130/70-R17 specification. A single disc at each end provides deceleration power.

The YBR 110 commuter sports a simple design with a bikini fairing, black alloy wheels and a sporty dual-tone color theme with body decals. With an estimated price of LKR 195,000 (around INR 91,860), the YBR 110 will be the most affordable Yamaha motorcycle in Sri Lanka when it goes on sale.

Featuring the typical hardware of a commuter, the YBR 110 is powered by a 106 cc air-cooled engine which puts out a modest 7.6 PS (7.49 bhp) and 7.9 Nm of torque when mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
