Available in both manual and automatic variants.
The Suzuki Swift Sport hot hatchback was in attendance at the 2014 Colombo Motor Show in Sri Lanka, donning the attention grabbing Champion Yellow livery.
Available in Sri Lanka as a 5-door hatchback, the Swift Sport is imported from Japan as a CBU (Completely Built-up Unit). Visually, the Swift Sport stands out from the tamed variants of the hatchback by means of revised headlight clusters with HID elements, a glossy black honeycomb grille with grey divider, grey accented foglight enclosures, body skirts, bigger alloy wheels, rear spoiler and a diffuser that houses twin exhausts.
Inside, the go-faster variant of the hatchback comes with leather wrapped steering wheel and gear lever with red contrast stitching, sporty seat fabric with red stitches and aluminium pedals.
Under the hood lies a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol motor which puts out a healthy 136 bhp and 160 Nm of torque. Harnessing the power is a 6-speed manual or a 7-step high-performance CVT with paddle shifters, both driving the front wheels.
The Swift Sport MT is priced at LKR 4.972 million (around INR 23.5 lakhs) while the CVT variant retails at LKR 5.132 million (around INR 24.25 lakhs). The car is offered with a 2 year/50,000 km warranty.
