The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection announced in February, has made its motor show premiere at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

The car pays tribute to Sir Malcolm Campbell's water speed record.

The special edition celebrates Sir Malcolm Campbell's water speed record established in September 1937 when he achieved 208 km/h on a Bluebird K3 hydroplane motored by a Rolls-Royce engine.

Based on the Phantom Drophead Coupe, the car is envisioned to bring forward the numerous customization options that are on offer through Rolls-Royce's bespoke program.

The Waterspeed collection wears an exclusive Maggiore Blue exterior that is applied with nine layers of paint and has been extended into the engine compartment.

Eleven-spoke polished alloy wheels, hand-painted coachline with a Bluebird motif, Abachi wood trim, two-tone steering wheel and special armrests are the features on this car.

The car is powered by the standard 6.75-liter V12 engine that develops 453 bhp and 719 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-96 km/h in 5.6 seconds before hitting a top speed of 241.4 km/h.

Production is limited to 35 units, and the car is priced at 435,000 pounds (INR 4.3 crores).
