Sales of the 308 GT start this month in Europe.
The Peugeot 308 GT celebrates its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Based on the 308 hatchback, the sportier version is available with a petrol and diesel engine to choose from.
The petrol engine is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit which is capable of producing 202 PS and 285 Nm of torque. It is solely available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine powering the 308 GT is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 178 PS and 400 Nm of torque, and gets paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Peugeot say that the driving experience of the 308 GT is further enhanced thanks to a retuned suspension and a more responsive throttle pedal.
Onlookers will be able to tell a 308 GT apart by its LED headlights and turning lights, a black diffuser, twin exhaust pipes, and the Peugeot logo which is now mounted on the grille rather than on the bonnet.
The 308 GT will be sold in hatchback and estate derivatives, with European sales beginning this month.
