The new Scorpio gets comprehensively redesigned front and rear fascias.

The third gen Scoprio would attempt to crack the Sri Lankan SUV market, a feat which proved difficult for its predecessor. The new car is underpinned by a new hydroformed ladder frame chassis which is claimed to be stiffer than that of the outgoing model.

Visual changes come in the form of comprehensively revised front and rear fascias with LED daytime running lights, larger headlamps, a new grille and bumper, a redesigned tailgate and LED taillights. The interior has nothing in common with its predecessor, featuring a new dashboard design and a steering wheel that is borrowed from the costlier XUV500.

The higher variants get the 2.2-litre four-cylinder dishing out 120 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque at 1,800 to 2,800 rpm.
