not good pricing to be honest. should have been priced a full lakh cheaper. yes, you heard it right. that would undercut every c-segment sedan from competitors right from sunny till verna. also we need to see that localization levels of ciaz is almost 100%. so by pricing it a lakh cheaper, suzuki could have created a superb identity for ciaz, real value for money, sitting slightly above the compact sedans. sadly they did not. i do not see any reason why i should buy ciaz over verna. top end variant of verna might be priced above zxi+/zdi+, but i can see things for the extra money. simply said, the top end ciaz does not offer lot of things over hyundai xcent, forget verna. the initial buzz might have created some bookings (could be their marketing gimmicks as well, to make people perceive that ciaz is a hit) but i feel the numbers will come down very much in coming days. suzuki has gone very ambitious in its attempt for first success at a proper sedan.

    Superb Pricing by maruti.
They have priced little above Honda Amaze and below Honda City.
They have hit two birds with one stone.
CIAZ will sell in good numbers

  6. chetan says:

City price range is 7.2 to 11.06 Lac as compared to 6.99 to 9.8 Lac for Ciaz.

Not so good pricing, imo. Should have been priced at least 35k lesser to taken on an established City.
