The S101 is likely to offer a 3+3 seating layout.
The Mahindra S101 was caught testing recently by readers of Motor Vikatan, Mr. Gowtham and Mr. Ramnath. In the first image, it's easy to see that the S101 gets a bench type seat at the front which is capable of seating three including the driver. Engineers seem to be testing the car with dummy weights to simulate real world driving conditions.
The test mule in these images comes equipped with foglights, though the light elements seem like dummy units and not production ones.
Forming the base of the compact car is an all-new monocoque platform developed by the company. The S101 will be one of three new models, and one of two new platforms, to be launched by Mahindra in 2015. It will rival B-segment hatchbacks like the Maruti Swift in terms of pricing, though in terms of size, it would be an EcoSport rival.

When launched, the S101 will be powered by newly-developed three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines paired to manual and possibly even automated manual transmissions (AMT).
