All variants will get 16-inch alloy wheels.
Fiat will launch the Avventura in New Delhi today, thus making India the first market for the Punto-based crossover. The car had its world debut at the Auto Expo in February this year, and looks to challenge the Toyota Etios Cross and VW Cross Polo.
The Avventura will be available with a petrol and a diesel engine, both of which are borrowed from the Punto Evo. The 1.4-liter 'FIRE' petrol is capable of 88.73 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm, while the 1.3-liter 'MultiJet' diesel produces 91.6 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 209 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm.
Both engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, with drive going to the front wheels. The ARAI rated efficiency for the petrol stands at 14.4 km/l, and 20.5 km/l for the diesel.
Apart from the design, engineers have increased the ground clearance of the Avventura to better differentiate it from the Punto. All variants of the car sport a 205 mm ground clearance, and come with 205/55 16-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of dimensions, the Avventura measures 3,989 mm in length, 1,706 mm in width, 1,542 mm in height and 2,510 mm in wheelbase.
