The most successful Audi A4 ever.
The Audi A4 which is at the fag end of its fourth generation has celebrated its 20 years of existence. The best selling model of the four ringed brand has been in production at the Ingolstadt plant since 1994 and over 6 million units have been produced so far.
Production at the mother plant is supplemented by the Neckarsulm plant since the fourth generation model entered production in 2007. The Ingolstadt facility alone produces over 700 units of the A4 per day thereby playing a major role in keep the capacity utilization up.
In addition to the German manufacturing facilities, the A4 is produced/assembled for local consumption in China, India and Indonesia. The popular mid-size premium carline is available in sedan, Avant and Allroad quattro variants in international markets.
The German carmaker has revealed that the facility at its HQ is now being prepared for the 2016 Audi A4 which is scheduled to launch next year. Hinting that the new model is much different from the existing one, Audi says that the body shop for the new A4 gets over 1,300 new machines including robots and welding guns.

The 2016 Audi A4 is expected to be unveiled at one of the major international motor shows next year.
