Will be available in petrol and CNG options.
The new Maruti Alto K10 will have its market launch next month, as per a report by PTI. As spyshots have shown, the new K10 is constructed on the Alto 800's body, and gets redesigned headlights, taillights and new bumpers for a distinct look. The interior too has been revamped with a new dashboard.
The car was developed by Maruti's engineers along with their counterparts from Suzuki Motor in Japan, at a cost of INR 200 crores.
The new K10 will be powered by the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-Series engine which produces 68 PS (67.04 bhp) and 90 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual or automated manual transmission (AMT) can be chosen to pair with it.
It delivers an ARAI certified 24.07 km/l (for MT and AMT), which is an improvement over the earlier model's 20.92 km/l. The K10 will also be available with a CNG option which will deliver 32.26 km/kg. A total of six variants will be available, but the AMT is reserved only for the top-end trim.
