Matter under the skin stays intact.
The mildly refreshed 2015 Kia Rio keeps company with the new Kia Sorento and the 2015 Kia Venga at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
To go on sale in Europe in the coming months, the facelifted hatchback features a few nips and tucks to its exterior design such as a revised front fascia, new alloy wheels and additional exterior color options to the palette.
Stepping inside, the 2015 Rio retains its dashboard design but receives updated trims. The centre console now houses a new 7-inch infotainment screen.
The dimensions are also retained which means the Rio continues to measure 4,045 mm in length, 1,720 mm in width, 1,455 mm in height and 2,470 mm in wheelbase.
Apart from the superficial makeover, the Rio stays the same under the skin. The powertrain range includes an entry-level 1.25-litre petrol engine, a 1.4-litre petrol and a pair of diesel engines displacing 1.1- and 1.4-litre. The power outputs range from 83 bhp to 107 bhp.
Except for the base petrol motor which gets a 5-speed MT, other variants are matched to a 6-speed MT. The bigger petrol motor is also available with a 4-speed AT.
