New Sport variant available on the hatchback derivative.
The refreshed European Honda Civic hatchback and Tourer world debuted at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The facelift brings to these cars feature and cosmetic revisions, and a new variant called the Civic Sport is also introduced.
The exterior gets redesigned headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and a sleeker front bumper. The hatchback further gets a new rear bumper, a new rear spoiler, LED taillights and redone side skirts.
Inside, the major change lies in the infotainment system as the new Civics debut Honda's Connect in-car system. The Android-based system operates on the 4.0.4 firmware and provides AM/FM, DAB, Internet radio, Bluetooth, internet browsing, satellite navigation and reverse camera. It also features the pinch, tap and swipe functionality on its 7-inch screen.
Apart from the new system, the interior of the new Civics get new seat fabrics, door trims, chrome door handles and a metallic black center console.
There are no mechanical changes to these cars, and they continue to be offered with the 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine and the 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel engine. As standard fitment, the new Civics come with Honda's City Brake Active system.
