To be launched towards the end of the month.
The new Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0 has been spotted in one of the company's showrooms in Gurgaon, Haryana. The new semi-faired motorcycle based on the FZ had been spotted testing earlier.
The new Fazer's fairing has been reworked to include a pilot lamp and kinks below the dual headlamp. In profile, the fairing has been extended down further. The rest of the bike stays true to the FZ FI V2.0 series. The split seats, new silencer, rear license plate holder, tyre-hugging mud guard and redesigned digital dashboard are all common to the new FZ and Fazer.
The Fazer would also derive its powertrain from the FZ FI V2.0. The new engine displaces 149 cc and is equipped with electronic fuel injection system while the old Fazer employs a carbureted 153 cc unit. The power and torque outputs have been reduced to 13.1 PS and 12.8 Nm of torque as against the old bike's 14 PS and 13.6 Nm of torque.

However, just like the FZ FI V2.0 series which is lighter than its predecessor, the Fazer FI V2.0 is also expected to be lighter and hence performance should not suffer.
