Launches in India on September 9.
The KTM RC390's media ride program for international journalists has just concluded in Italy and here is a video showing the fully faired compact sportsbike hitting a speedo-indicated top speed of 179 km/h.
The KTM RC390 and RC200 will be launched in India on September 9 and some dealers have already commenced bookings for INR 30,000.
The RC390 is based on the Duke 390 but gets an aerodynamic fairing with a sharp front-end housing twin headlamp elements and LED daytime running lights. The riding posture is aggressive and track friendly whereas the naked sibling offers an upright posture.

Just like the street fighter, the RC390 is equipped with WP front (inverted telescopic forks) and rear (monoshock) suspension system and sticky Metzeler tyres. The instrument console is also carried over from the Duke.

The 373.2 cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine is capable of 42.9 bhp and 35 Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the fuel-injected motor propels the bike from 0-100 km/h in less than 6 seconds.
