Gets new body decals and a fully painted side cowl.
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) launched a refreshed version of its Hayate commuter motorcycle yesterday. The updated bike is available in SMIPL’s showrooms across the country, and is priced at INR 44,969 ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
Visual changes are minor and come in the form of a fully painted side cowl, and new body graphics. Another change is that SMIPL have reduced the available colour choices from six to five, as the Metallic Lush Green shade is no longer in the offing. Instead, the two-wheeler comes in Glass Sparkle Black with Red Graphics, Glass Sparkle Black with Blue Graphics, Pearl Mirage White, Pearl Mira Red -Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Moon Stone Grey.
On the features front, the motorcycle receives a new maintenance free battery and tubeless tires with broader rims.
While the engine of the Hayate, a 4-stroke air-cooled 112 cc engine, remains unchanged, engineers have fine tuned it and changed the carburetor settings for better efficiency, says the company, without disclosing figures. The engine continues to produce 8.3 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 8.8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm matched to a 4-speed gearbox. The Hayate comes with a 10.5 liter fuel tank.
