Nepal's first car to feature an AMT.
CG I MotoCorp, the authorized distributor of Suzuki cars, launched the (Maruti) Suzuki Celerio featuring the automated manual transmission at the Nepal Auto Show 2014 (NADA 2014).
Christened 'EZ Drive' the AMT provides the same mileage as the manual transmission and the Celerio is the first car of its kind in the Nepali market. Positioned in the A2 segment, the car has the best mileage in its class of 23.1 kmpl.
The hatchback is priced starting at NPR 1,999,000 (INR 12.45 lakhs) for the basic variant (manual transmission), and comes in five variants in total.
All variants are powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder K Series engine which develops 68 PS (67.04 bhp) and 90 Nm of torque.
The Celerio measures 3,600 mm in length, 1,600 mm in width, 1,560 mm in height and has a wheelbase measuring 2,425 mm. Its turning radius is 4.7 meters, while ground clearance is 165 mm. The kerb weight is between 810-830 kg.
The top-end ZXi variant is loaded with features like foglamps, alloy wheels, ABS, dual airbags, a 2-DIN music system and a rear wiper/washer.
Suzuki currently operates 23 outlets in Nepal, and plans to expand it to 34 by the end of the year.
