The SX4 successor has a longer wheelbase and a more premium cabin.
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Ciaz next month, and thus replace the aging SX4. Here is a pictorial comparison of the Ciaz with its predecessor.
On the design front, the SX4 sedan is derived from the hatchback, which in turn uses a crossover bodystyle. In fact the car's name stands for "Sports C(X)rossover for 4-seasons".
The Ciaz meanwhile is designed as a sedan which shows in the side profile with its roof gently arching at both ends as compared to the steeply raked windshields of the SX4. The side profile also gives an idea of the wheelbase of these cars: where the SX4's wheelbase measures 2,500 mm, the Ciaz has a generous 2,650 mm wheelbase.
The additional 150 mm between the wheels goes in enhancing the rear seat space of the Ciaz, as can be seen in the cabin images. The Ciaz also benefits from an almost flat floor and rear AC vents.

Comparing the dashboards, its clear to see that the Ciaz's looks more premium thanks to its dual-tone theme and wood-like inserts.
