The Lamborghini Huracan's V10 motor has 610 PS on tap.
Italian supercar maker Lamborghini will launch the Huracan in India on the 22nd of September, the company has confirmed to IAB. The car is likely to be priced at INR 3.88 crores, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. The price may vary on the 2014 model year cars as they are pre-personalized. However the 2015 model year cars can be personalized based on the customer's request.
After making its global premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, the Huracan was showcased in Mumbai for prospective customers. The Gallardo successor is based on an all-new architecture which features extensive use of carbon fiber and aluminium, resulting in a light kerb weight of only 1,422 kg.
The mid-engined supercar is powered by a retuned version of the Gallardo's 5.2-liter V10. The motor, which now makes use of direct and in-direct injection, produces 610 PS (601.4 bhp) at 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm of torque. The power is sent to all wheels using a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The supercar takes only 3.2 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h, while 0-200 km/h comes in 9.9 seconds.
Though the Huracan's standard ground clearance measures 135 mm, it can be raised to 175 mm to tackle speed breakers and bad road sections. The supercar can travel up to 70 km/h on its heightened ground clearance.
The Huracan has received over 1,000 orders worldwide, with 700 coming in the first month itself. Like the Aventador, the Huracan is made at the company's factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.
The Italian supercar maker is present in three Indian cities (Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore) currently.
