World debut later today.
The Jaguar XE is due to be revealed later this evening in London, though these images hint what to expect from Jaguar's 3-Series rival. The XE was being airlifted around London, probably to its debut location (Earls Court) when these pictures were shot.
Based on a completely new all-aluminium platform called iQ, the XE will also see the debut of JLR's new Ingenium engine family comprising of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The most fuel efficient variant of the sedan will deliver over 25 km/l in the European driving cycle, while the most powerful will use the F-Type's 3.0-liter V6 supercharged petrol engine.
Other details available on the XE are that it will come with a double wishbone front suspension and an integral link setup at the rear. Other confirmed features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display and Jaguar's new InControl Apps feature.
