Slow-selling cars to get minor updates focusing on the interior.
GM India will relaunch the Chevrolet Sail sedan and hatchback later this month, Indian Autos Blog can reveal today. Both cars will get minor enhancements, focusing mainly on the interior. Another change is that the U-VA branding will be discontinued from the hatchback.
A new dual-tone black-and-beige interior will be seen on the Sail twins, and according to sources, GM will use relatively higher quality door and dashboard trims. The interior will be further enhanced with chrome trims and garnishes and a new black steering wheel with the Chevy bow-tie logo in a prominent gold color.
The Sail sedan will get a chrome applique on the bootlid and both cars will receive chrome surrounds to the foglamp.
Mechanically, the cars will continue unchanged. The petrol engine powering these cars is a 1.2-liter four-cylinder making 86 PS (84.78 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.
