Gets more features than the Indian model.
Hyundai of Europe released the interior images of the new i20 today, and here's how it looks like next to the Elite i20. The i20, previously exported from India, is made in Izmit, Turkey for Europe.
Speaking of exterior changes first, the 2015 i20 for Europe is longer than the Elite at 4,035 mm, but its wheelbase is the same as the Indian model at 2,570 mm. Feature changes come in the form of LED infused headlights, a sportier chin for the front bumper and a panoramic sunroof.
Inside, the overall look and design of the cabin is same as the Indian model. However, where the Elite gets a beige dashboard, the European model gets a contrast color (a copy of its exterior color). Feature wise, the European i20 gets a 7-inch satellite navigation display, USB and AUX-in as standard. It also receives other convenience features like front parking sensors, leather seats and heated front seats.
Mechanically, the European i20 comes with a 1.2-liter petrol engine in two power states of 75 PS and 84 PS and a 1.4-liter petrol making 100 PS. The 1.4 is available with a 6-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.2 gets a 5-speed manual. The diesel lineup includes the 1.1-liter three-cylinder making 75 PS or the 1.4-liter four-cylinder with 90 PS. Both diesel motors come with a 6-speed manual.
