Indonesia Live – New Nissan X-Trail

PT Nissan Motor Indonesia has showcased the new Nissan X-Trail at the 2014 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2014). The Indonesian subsidiary had launched the new X-Trail on the 13th of September in five variants priced between Rp 383 million (INR 19.51 lakhs) and Rp 403.5 million (INR 20.49 lakhs) on the road.

The new X-Trail is available with two engine options in Indonesia.

The SUV measures 4,640 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width, 1,720 mm in height and sports a wheelbase of 2,705 mm.

The car comes with either a 2.0 liter petrol engine matched to a manual transmission or a CVT, or a 2.5 liter engine matched to a CVT. The former produces 144 PS (142.03 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 20.4 kgm (200 Nm) at 4,400 rpm, while the latter produces 171 PS (168.66 bhp) at 6,600 rpm and 23.8 kgm (233.39 Nm) at 4,000 rpm.

Launched with a monthly target of 1,000 cars, the car competes with the Mitsubishi Outlander, Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Toyota Fortuner.

The SUV will be sold via 102 dealers across the country, with an option of five body colours – Floral white, Premium Bronze Metallic, Smokey Grey Metallic, Phantom Black and Diamond Silver Metallic.
