A Vento with a focus on entertainment.
VW have launched a special edition on the Vento called the Konekt edition. It is available on the Comfortline and Highline trims of the sedan.
Seen in the center console is a Blaupunkt infotainment system with a 7-inch TFT color touchscreen display. The system is capable of GPS navigation, Bluetooth-enabled telephony, Igo-Navtech maps, USB connectivity and iPhone/iPod compatibility.
At the rear sits an 8-inch Android-powered, Bluetooth-enabled Blaupunkt tablet with 3G-compatibility, twin-SIM functionality and Wi-Fi capability. It is capable of playing 16 channels of live television, Internet radio, weather updates and live stock market feeds.
It also allows users to access social media applications like Facebook and Twitter and use Google Maps for navigation. Plus, video calls can be made with a 3G connection and the nearest Volkswagen dealer/service centre can be located on it as well.
Other features include leatherette seat covers and ‘Konekt’ badges on the bootlid and scuff plates. The car maker has not announced prices of the Konekt edition yet.
