Nissan launched two products at the ongoing 2014 Moscow Motor Show (Moscow International Auto Salon 2014) for the Russian market by way of the Nissan Sentra sedan and the Nissan Pathfinder SUV.
Nissan Pathfinder:
Nissan says that the SUV will be produced at its St. Petersburg plant, and that two variants will be available - a gasoline and a hybrid. The hybrid variant would be the first ever Russian manufactured petrol hybrid.
The gasoline engine is a 3.5-liter V6 producing 249 bhp and 325 Nm of torque while the hybrid uses a 2.5-liter engine making 230 bhp along with 20 bhp of additional power coming from an electric motor and 368 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired to CVT gearboxes. The Pathfinder is priced between 1.93 million Rubles (INR 32 lakhs) to 2.24 million Rubles (INR 37 lakhs).
Nissan Sentra:
The Sentra is a development collaboration with Alliance partner AvtoVAZ, and will be built at the latter's plant in Izhevsk, says Nissan. The sedan is available for the Russian market with a 1.6-liter engine putting out 117 bhp and 158 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The prices are yet to be announced.
