The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross was displayed today at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show (Moscow International Auto Salon 2014). For the Russian market, Suzuki is choosing to call the car the 'New SX4', whereas the older car is rebadged as the 'SX4 Classic'.
For the Russian market, the S-Cross is available only with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which puts out 117 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 156 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the car include a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT. The drive is sent to the front wheels, or all wheels in case of the ALLGRIP variants.
The crossover measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, 1,575 mm in height and 2,600 mm in wheelbase. The car is shod with 16- or 17-inch wheels depending on the variant. The turning radius is rated at 5.2 meters. Top-end variants are equipped with ABS, ESP, Brake Assist and 7 airbags.
The new SX4 is available in a total of 10 variants in Russia, and is priced between 749,000 Rubles to 1.099 million Rubles (INR 12.54 lakhs to INR 18.4 lakhs).
The S-Cross launches in India early next year to fight the Renault Duster and Mahindra Scorpio.
