Sales in China starts from October 9.
The production version of the Hyundai ix25, which was spied numerous times since the unveiling of the pre-production version at the Beijing Auto Show, has debuted at the ongoing Chengdu Auto Show.
The car retains the pre-production concept's design. A top-end sport variant with a different grille is also in the offing. The modern compact crossover measures 4,270 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width and 1,622 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,590 mm.

The functional dashboard is finished completely in black although the India-spec model would get a dual-tone treatment with beige. The AC vents and gear lever surround are accented in silver and there is a large infotainment display on the centre console. The steering wheel is a chunky four-spoke multifunction unit behind which a simple instrument console can be seen.
Coming to the powertrains, the China-spec ix25 gets a pair of petrol engines - a 1.6-litre unit producing 125 PS (123.2 bhp) and a 2.0-litre mill delivering 160 PS (157.7 bhp).

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) is expected to launch the compact SUV next year and it was spotted testing in India recently in the company of its rivals, the Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport. The India-bound SUV will have a diesel engine option, armed either with the i20's 1.4L unit or the Verna's 1.6L unit.
