The eagerly anticipated 2015 Volvo XC90 has been unveiled. The new gen flagship SUV will make its first public appearance at the Paris Motor Show which opens its doors to the media on October 2.
Replacing a 12-year old design, the new XC90 is the first product to adopt the Swedish brand's transformed design language. The SUV was previewed by the Concept XC Coupe at the NAIAS in January this year.

Highlighting the front end design are the chrome finished grille with the signature Volvo diagonal slash, futuristic LED headlamps with 'Thor's Hammer' DRL elements and a trendy bumper. The silhouette is characterized by a long bonnet and a flat roof. A high waistline and 22-inch alloy wheels (optional) add to the stance.
Volvo likens the rear combination lights to tattoos. Other noteworthy elements are a silver diffuser and dual exhaust tips that are nestled in it.
The interior which was already revealed also sets a new design direction for future Volvos to follow. Available in two color options, the cabin employs top notch materials and offers space for 7 passengers.
Right from the high-end multimedia infotainment system to a plethora of safety features, the 2015 XC90's equipment list is a lengthy affair.

As reported earlier, the SPA-based (Scalable Platform Architecture) XC90 will be powered by a set of new VEA (Volvo Engine Architecture) four-cylinder force-fed petrol and diesel engines with the top-end variants getting electric motive assistance.
