The 2015 Skoda Octavia Scout has been introduced in the Russian market at the 2014 Moscow International Auto Salon (Moscow Motor Show 2014).
The rugged variant of the Octavia Combi which was unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show in March has its suspension raised by 33 mm. The visual differences come from plastic lower body cladding, redesigned bumpers with silver skid plates, roof rails and exclusive alloy wheel designs.
The Russia-spec Octavia Scout is powered by the 1.8-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine which is mated to a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The four-cylinder motor is capable of 180 PS and 280 Nm of torque. The raised estate can accelerate from rest to ton in 7.8 seconds before hitting a top whack of 216 km/h.
The drive is sent to all four wheels via a Haldex-5 system which is claimed to improve traction by 25%. The car delivers a fuel economy of 14.08 km/l under European driving conditions.
The 2015 Skoda Octavia Scout would go on sale in Russia later this year.
