Polaris Industries will unveil the all-new Slingshot on July 27th. The Slingshot is a performance loving three-wheeler. While little is known about the product, teaser videos revealed by the company suggest that it could be a track-only recreational vehicle rivaling the likes of the KTM X-Bow, and more specifically, the Morgan 3 Wheeler.
Power for the trike is likely to come from a GM-sourced 2.4-liter Ecotec engine making about 180 bhp and 233 Nm of torque. The Slingshot will have its rev-limiter at 6,500 rpm. A belt drive is reported to transfer this power to the single rear wheel.
On the styling front, the Slingshot gets no doors and occupants will have to help themselves in. The Slingshot has a 1+1 seating configuration, a short (and fixed) windscreen and a low center of gravity. Though features like power steering and ABS are reported to be offered, we can confirm the presence of disc brakes on all three wheels.
