He didn't divulge specific details on the car's performance figures, but AMG has confirmed that the two-seater will be powered by an all new 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine that will produce 510 hp @ 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm @ 4,750 rpm. Reports have said that the new twin turbo engine could help the AMG GT sprint from 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds, before reaching its top speed of 312 km/h.
Mercedes-Benz will unveil the AMG GT at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, and will be launched at respective markets during the middle of 2015.
The AMG GT is expected in India next year, or like its predecessor SLS, use the fanfare at the next Auto Expo in 2016 to set off.
