The Bajaj Discover 125 T commuter motorcycle has been launched in Nepal at NPR 162,900 (around INR 1.01 lakhs) for the drum brake variant and NPR 167,900 (around INR 1.04 lakhs) for the disc brake variant. The bike will be shipped from India.

The Discover 125 T makes do with a conventional gas charged coil spring suspension at the rear while the now discontinued Discover 125 ST offered a monoshock setup. Also, the 125 T is marginally less powerful.

The Bajaj Discover 125 T will rival the Honda CB Shine and Hero Glamour in Nepal.

Power comes from a 124.6 cc 4-valve DTS-i air-cooled engine that generates 12.5 PS (12.32 bhp) and 10.8 Nm of torque. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine propels the bike to a top speed of 105 km/h. The Discover 125 T delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 77.1 km/l. The entry level variant gets drum brakes while the top-end variant comes with a front disc.

Other noteworthy features of the bike include, maintenance free battery, front petal disc with mud-guard, electric starter, DC headlamp, aluminium foot peg mounts and a 9.5-litre fuel tank.

The commuter will be sold in Nepal by Bajaj’s sole distributor for the country, Hansraj Hulaschand and Company. The company is planning to sell 25,000 units of the Discover 125 T in this fiscal year.

Competition would come from fellow made-in-India 125 cc bikes like the Hero Glamour and Honda CB Shine.
