The 2015 BMW X3 facelift which made its global premiere at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year will be launched in India next month, reports Overdrive.in.
The new X3 subscribes to the brand's current design philosophy with a revised kidney grille and headlamps that flow into the grille. The bumpers and taillights are also tweaked to give the SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle as BMW likes to call it) a modern appeal. The updated interior gets new color themes and trim materials.
The 2015 X3 for India would be powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is now tuned to produce 6 PS more at 190 PS (187.3 bhp) and 400 Nm of torque.
The top-end variant would get the 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine which makes 258 PS (254.3 bhp) with 560 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission sending power to all the wheels via the xDrive system is standard across the range.
The current BMW X3 is assembled at the company's Chennai plant and the same arrangement would be carried forward for the facelifted model.
