Venucia, a sub-brand of Donfeng-Nissan joint venture in China, showcased the Venucia R30, a low cost version of the Nissan Micra (March in China) at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2014. Expected to go on sale in the country next month, the interior of the entry level hatchback has been revealed through a set of official images.

The Venucia R30 will play the Datsun Go's role for Nissan in China.

The Venucia R30 has been given an entirely new dashboard complete with new steering wheel, instrument console, centre console and an open recess in the place of glovebox. However, the circular AC vents and the basic layout have been carried over to keep the development costs in check. The small car gets low cost seats with integrated headrests while the feature list includes dual front airbags and a music system.

As far as the exterior is concerned, the silhouette remains true to the Mirca while the front and rear fascias are completely reworked.

Power is courtesy of the Micra's 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol motor which makes 73 hp and 104 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission propels the front wheels.

The Venucia sub-brand plays Datsun's role for Nissan in China as it targets young audience who are looking for an affordable first car. The Venucia R30 would go sale with price of the entry level variant promised not to exceed 50,000 Yuan (around INR 4.84 lakhs).
