The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 (production version) was shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed today. Jaguar showcased the Project 7 at last year's show as a one-off model, but the car seen today will actually go into production. However, only 250 units will be made.
Powering the Project 7 is the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine producing 575 PS and 680Nm of torque. It accelerates the roadster from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and achieves a top-speed limited to 300 km/h. The Project 7 is thus, the most powerful and quickest Jaguar ever made. The car sends power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The car celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Jaguar D-Type racer, and gets a similar fairing behind the driver's seat. Further details are available in the press release below.
