Honda has started working on a mid-life facelift for its crossover, the CR-V. Early development mules of the CR-V facelift, which were spotted on tests near Canada recently, showed subtle changes to the exterior design of the car. This image shows the interior of the refreshed CR-V.
It seems the only change inside the refreshed CR-V is the addition of metal inserts to the AC vents. Apart from this, there are no changes seen inside the cabin. Speaking about the exteriors, the CR-V facelift is expected to get new front and rear bumpers, redesigned foglight enclosures, a tweaked grille and a possible redesign of the bootlid and rear windscreen.
In India, Honda launched the new generation CR-V back in February last year. The SUV is available with two engine options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC producing 156 PS and 190 Nm of torque, and a 2.4-liter i-VTEC making 190 PS and 226 Nm of torque. The 2.0L comes with a 2WD system and gearbox options include 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmissions, while the 2.4-liter gets a 5-speed auto sending drive to all four wheels.
Given that the CR-V is made in India from CKD kits shipped from Japan, the model year revisions are expected to be seen on the Indian model months after its international launch, which is expected sometime later this year or early next year.
