The Fiat Avventura crossover was spotted on tests once again by Facebook user, Ashish Sawant. The image below shows a beige interior on the Avventura, which was showcased with an all-black interior and orange inserts at the Auto Expo where it had its world debut. The interior color scheme seen in this spyshot resembles that of the 2014 Linea.
Based on the Fiat Punto, the Avventura is a pseudo-crossover that will take on the Toyota Etios Cross and the VW Cross Polo. Designers have given the car an exposed spare wheel (which is hinged on the bumper using a swingable mechanism), roof rails, new alloy wheels, projector headlights, black plastic moldings and skid plates for a butch appearance.
Given that its based on the Punto, engine options are expected to mirror that of the hatchback. Engine choices could include 1.2- and 1.4-liter petrol motors and a 1.3-liter diesel unit. All engines are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, though strangely, the Avventura shown at the Auto Expo had a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Avventura will launch ahead of the festive season this year (before September-October). Fiat India has also confirmed plans to launch a refreshed Punto and the Abarth 500 by the end of this calendar year.
