Rendering – 2016 BMW 7 Series with the new family look

Here is a speculative rendering of the next gen flagship Beemer that is undergoing tests in Europe, made by Largus. The new 7 Series will set a benchmark in weight saving as its new platform combines carbon fiber and aluminium for the most of its structure.
Also new to the 7 Series would be its design language. First found in the current 3 Series, the new design theme involves revised kidney grille that provides a lowered stance and sleeker headlamps that merge with the grille. The 2016 BMW 7 Series is also expected to incorporate these features along with the gills on front fenders that debuted in the 4 Series and were seen in all BMW cars launched thereafter.
Of course, the bumpers and rear combination lamps will be reprofiled while the sheet metal design will under go an evolution, as confirmed by BMW’s chairman. The new 7-er could borrow the LED Laser headlights (not featured in the rendering) from the i8 hybrid supercar.
In addition to the regular and extended wheelbase variants, there could also be an XL variant to rival the S Class Pullman. The car is expected to be ready by end of 2015 or early 2016.
For India, the 2016 BMW 7-Series is expected to be locally assembled out of CKD kits at BMW India’s Chennai plant from sometime in mid-2016, as is the case with current 7 Series.
