The Fox facelift is expected to launch later this year.

The test mule's disguised with fake body colored elements to misguide onlookers. Autossegredos.com.br reports that design changes would be limited to new headlights, grille, bumper and taillights. However, interiors are expected to be revamped, a claim substantiated by the mule's tinted windows.

The current model's 1.0-litre and 1.6-litre flex fuel engines would be retained and higher variants of the 2015 Fox are likely to be equipped with more safety features like ESP and Traction Control.

The report says that the Fox's optional equipments would include 16-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps, multi-function steering wheel, new RNS 315 audio system and electric sunroof.

Meanwhile the next gen Fox is also reportedly taking shape for a 2016 debut. The next gen model would be based on the MQB platform with new powertrain lineup inhabited by a flex-fuel version of the 1.0-litre TSI motor that will also power the Brazil-spec Taigun, and a 1.4-litre TSI unit.

Like the current version, the next gen model is expected in hatchback, Cross and Space Fox (estate) body styles. As in the case of India, Brazil's automakers continue selling old gen models alongside the new one with the help of a suffix, but with differed positioning.
