The Fiat Avventura has reached its final testing stage, and was caught on camera by our Pune-based reader Shatrughan Saxena. The Avventura will launch in a few months, alongside the Fiat 500 Abarth and the Punto facelift, making it three launches for Fiat India in 6 months.

The Avventura is a pseudo SUV that is based on the Punto. Like the Toyota Etios Cross and the VW Cross Polo, the Avventura is a visually enriched 'all-roader' with new wheels, roof rails and a mildly different interior.

The Avventura is in the final leg of testing.

The production model is sticking to the design of the Avventura concept from the Auto Expo. It gets an exposed spare wheel (the first for a pseudo crossover in India), skid plates, door mouldings, new bumpers, bigger alloy wheels and a slight bump in ground clearance.

The Avventura and the Punto facelift will come with upgraded interiors, boasting of a dual tone dashboard, updated switchgear and new center console, seen on the Linea facelift.

The Avventura holds back the Punto's engines, which are the 1.2L petrol, 1.4L petrol and the 1.3L diesel, coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox.
