A month after the launch of the Hyundai Xcent compact sedan, the company has received 11,000 bookings and over 100,000 enquiries, Hyundai said in a statement yesterday. The Xcent, which marks Hyundai's entry in the compact sedan segment, was unveiled a day prior to the Auto Expo, while the market launch took place last month.
Hyundai says that the Xcent has received significant interest from young families in metro and Tier II cities. The small sedan rivals the likes of the Honda Amaze and Maruti Swift Dzire, and is available with petrol and diesel engine options.
Key to the success of the Xcent lies in its features list, with the car boasting several first-in-segment features such as rear AC vents, push button start, keyless entry and reverse camera.
